The objective of this survey is to help state and local emergency management officials across Texas identify and gain an understanding of damages that have occurred during recent natural disaster activity. Just select the "Hurricane Beryl" and fill out the survey. This is for residential damages and not for commercial damages.

IT'S RODEO WEEK!!!! The 61st Mineola Fireman's Rodeo will returns on Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th at the Mineola Rodeo Grounds. Generations of boots have shuffled into those stands over the years, and this summer will be no different. A true Mineola tradition and always for a great cause. $10 for adults and $8 for kids under 12. Kids under 5 get in free. Events start at 8 pm each night.





Dust off those dancin' shoes! Tonight (July 5th), the Mineola Nature Preserve will play host to a special concert from Lee Mathis and the Brutally Handsome! 6:00-9:00 pm!
It's FREE and will be held at the Peoples Pavilion and Amphitheater area. Fatbaxx BBQ will be onsite, and the Mineola Parks and Open Spaces Advisory Board will have beer for sale as well. Dairy Queen is hosting a Cornhole tournaments starting at 6:00 pm! You can bring your own chair if so desired, and come enjoy great music in an amazing setting. NO BYOB. See you at the preserve! It's almost time for the annual Mineola City Fireworks Display!!!
The display will be at the Mineola Civic Center and THAT'S NOT ALL
Papa T's BBQ, Kona Ice, and ETX Lemonade will be onsite - 4:30 pm
Also, They Got Your Six Foundation will have hot dogs (fordonations) and the Elizabeth Denton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be providing water for visitors.
The always popular Lake Country Symphonic Band will perform! 8 pm
The Splash Pad will be open all day until 8:00 pm. Fireworks at dark. Experience a Mineola Tradition!!!

An amazing concert by Lee Mathis and the Brutally Handsome will come to the Mineola Nature Preserve Amphitheater and People's Pavilion on Friday, July 5th!
The concert will be from 6:00-9:00 pm and is sponsored by Mineola EDC, Republic Services, and Christus Health.
It's FREE to enter, and it's a fundraiser for renovations at the preserve.

City Offices will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday, June 19th) in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. Water bills can be paid online at the website, the Mineola mobile app, or dropped off at the night drop at the drive through.

"Can You Dig It" day camp with the Promise of Peace Gardens today at the Preserve. Ms. Elizabeth Dry and volunteers worked with kids doing all kinds of activities with kids 5-12. They create paintings, recipes, mini gardens and learn amazing things about nature. Missed it today? No problem. There's another on Friday (June 14) and on Wednesday and Friday (June 19th and 21st) next week. Call 214-240-9220 to register and for more information Cost is 25 dollars per camp.










The City of Mineola is entering its budget preparations for the upcoming fiscal year (2024-2025), and we want to hear from YOU! On June 20th, 5:30 pm, the Mayor, City Council, and staff are holding a meeting at Mineola City Hall to hear from Mineola Citizens on what you would like to see in the coming year. Start by filling out the survey at the Mineola website (link in the comments) and plan to attend if you are able. Your town. Your voice.


Another amazing running event this weekend from our friends, The Freedom Runners. The Heat is On 5K, 10K, 15K at the Mineola Nature Preserve! Open to all ages and abilities and these events are so worth it.

The the annual Mineola Independence Day Fireworks Display at the Mineola Civic Center is just around the corner! This amazing tradition is something we all look forward to. The display is funded in part by the city and also with donations from citizens and organizations in our area. We are now accepting those donations at city hall. Just write "Fireworks Fund" in the check memo when you come by or you can mail it to :

It's the last week for Music in May! Our final artist this year will be JP and John Fox! That's right, our very own Jennifer Pisarcik! Jennifer sings a mix if country, pop, rock, and classic stuff. We're lucky to get this duo to finish out this year's season! Thursday! 6:30!

Amidst the amazing weather on Saturday, Mineola citizens and visitors alike had plenty to savor, experience, cheer for, listen to, and remember as the first weekend in May delivers again. From the Fiesta 5K, 10k, 15K at the Mineola Nature preserve and model train display at the Transportation Plaza, to the opening day of the Farmers Market, Fiesta Mini Train and all of the incredible events, food, shopping, car show and contests at Fiesta de Mayo, there was no shortage of entertainment in Mineola. Every year seems to bring more! Special thanks to all of the organizations and volunteers that made this weekend happen again this year. It truly is a good place to be!










Wow! What a fantastic Saturday in Mineola!!!!! It all starts early at the Mineola Nature Preserve with the May Fiesta 5K, 10K, 15K at 8:00 am with the fantastic Freedom Runners. Don't forget opening day of the Mineola Farmers Market from 8:00 until 1:00. Then, downtown from 10:00 until 4:00, its the annual Mineola Chamber of Commerce Fiesta de Mayo. Food, live entertainment, vendors, contests and more! And certainly don't forget about the Mini Train at Iron Horse Square from 11:00 until 3:00. And all of the usual shopping and amazing eateries and sweets. Don't forget to vote at City Hall from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. It's a good place to be!







One week away! The city does have some glasses left if you haven 't secured yours at this time. You can pick them up at City Hall or at the drive through. 8:00am until 4:30 pm (8:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday) until they are gone!
