The Mineola Police Department is actively participating in the statewide "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaign. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is intensifying seat belt enforcement through its annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign, which runs from May 19 to June 1, 2025. This initiative coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, a peak travel period, and is part of the broader All-American enforcement campaign by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The campaign aims to reduce these numbers by encouraging all occupants to wear seat belts at all times.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Doris Newman! 🎉
Help us wish the happiest of birthdays to our incredible Main Street Director & Historical Preservation Officer, Doris Newman! 🥳
We had the pleasure of celebrating her today, and word on the street is she’s turning 39 years young (again 😉)! Doris brings passion, dedication, and a love for our community to everything she does. We’re beyond lucky to have her as part of the City of Mineola team. Happy Birthday, Doris! 🎂🎈💐

April's birth flowers, the daisy and sweet pea, bring joy to April-born individuals. Daisies symbolize innocence and purity and have a rich history dating back to ancient Egypt. Sweet peas, with their sweet fragrance, represent delicate pleasure, friendship, and gratitude.

A Little Late, But Never Less Important!
We celebrated the birthdays of Lisa Morrison and Justin Clower for our March birthday crew! Honestly, I still don’t know where that month went! We hope you both had fantastic birthdays, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the team here at City Hall!

Join Us for the Pier Dedication at Mineola Nature Preserve!

This pier is being named in honor of former Mineola Mayor, E.F. "Bo" Whitus, whose dedication and hard work transformed the bare river bottom into a beautiful space for all of us to enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to attend the dedication ceremony. Afterward, the family will be serving lunch at the Derby Pavilion to celebrate this special occasion.
We look forward to seeing you there!
